This is the same olive as the Plain Old Kalamata. However it is preserved in oil with a little star anise. The flavours complement each other perfectly.
During our research and development stage at Silver and Green we had a visit from our Ligurian friend Paulie, who very kindly offered to assist us with our "research". Countless bottles of Chianti were consumed whilst we tried to establish which flavours to go with and who liked what best. As you can see from the names Paulie's 1st, and, Paulie's 2nd Choice our friend greedily hogged two flavours for himself finally managing to award a 1st and a 2nd place rosette.
